JULY 28 2009
Unbelievably, today is already the second week of our school. It seems that days move really fast. Today is the third meeting of music class. As each of us have decided in which instrument class we want to be in, from now on we should sit with our isntrument class' friends. Thus, I sit with Tiffany Lydia Soebijantoro, Kezia Antholyka, Jessica Oktasya, and Steven Jaya(by the way, he is the only guy in piano class and we often tease him :P).
Today Mr. John Legoh, who is our guitar and music theory teacher, gives each of us a paper of song lyric of Michael Jackson in tribute for his death that had occurred not long before. We sing one of his most popular song, which is Heal The World. The song is really sad, you know, and his death was really unexpected. When I sing this song, I cry in the class. I know, lately I am such an emotional freak, but I just couldn't help myself. My heart aches when I hear this song.
After all of us sing Heal The World, we girls and the boys compete singing the song to each other. We want to know which of the group is better. Well... of course the girls, duh. Unexpectedly, it is already time to go to our instrument class. I can see from people's eyes that they can't wait to go there. Well, that's the same with me. I am just impatient enough to start the instrument class! In piano class, we all play major scales: from C-B major. After that, Mr. Herry, who is also our piano teacher, tells us to play Hanon no.8. I think I play pretty badly because I make some mistakes. I guess I should practice more so when someone tells me to play Hanon or other pieces, I could play well. It is a fun 40 minutes lesson. I really enjoy it!
