Here comes the month of exams and holidays! Anyway, today we learnt about Johann Sebastian Bach. We were given this handout about him and then we had short quiz. After that, Mr. Herry gave these 5 A3 handouts about music history! Man, I am so doomed! This is one of the times when I need Doraemon's bread! Yeah, don't worry though. I am so gonna survive through this! I like history, right? Hah. We also learnt about Kodaly. Oh man, I am so slow in Kodaly sign. It is so hard and I just don't get why we should learn this anyway!

SO... Today we had the theory quiz which was so damn easy!!! I finished in like...5 minutes! Whoo-hoo!!! After the quiz, Mr. John told us about our scores. Well, I guess I got 8 or 8.5! I forgot! Man, do you know what James and Hasan got? They got 9! Kya, I am so jealous! Very very jealous! I am still grateful though because I know that I am not good in singing so 8/8.5 is actually a really good mark. No worries though, I could always make it better next time!

Yuhu!!! Hey hey hey, I am happy, ah not really. Not really happy. When Mr. John told me my score, I only got 99.9, not 100 while Tiff got 100. I'm so sad!!! Yeah, well, most of the students in our class got low marks so Mr. John taught us about it again. Ouch, sorry, sir!!! Argh, next time I will make sure that I will get perfect 100! Ciao!

Aloha!!! Today's activity is very easy!!! We start learning the theory of music which is SO easy. It is not that I am like some snobs, but it IS easy. When Mr. John gave the exercise, I finished it like... around 8 minutes? LOLOLOL, it is so easy! We should do this everyday because for once, I felt like I am worthy! Oh, did I mention that we watched Ian's performance? Dang, that dude is really awesome. Even though he looked like he was going to suffocate, his playing was good though. We also learnt to sing Indonesian song called Gundul-Gundul Pacul. Whoo-hoo love this song, man! Seriously, the lyric is so funny!

Well, today I didn't do anything than watch the others playing their songs. I like Eunhye's song. So awesome. I also think Emir and Aryo's songs good though they didn't really prepare well. I realize that my class 10C is so awesome because all of us are so good in playing music! So, basically I am all done for music, except for the reflections! Yay! I think I still have to improve in writing my reflections because it is so messy!

Today we only practiced playing our own song. Ah, I find it kind of boring because I have played it so many times and I know it to my heart. If the others want to change their songs, well I don't because I like my song. Hah. Just wait till tomorrow and see my performance!

Whoo-hoo! Today is the show-time! We have to perform our own song in front of the class! Uugh, I was so very really nervous, but my friends were very kind because they supported me! After I played, I wrote both of the reflections on the papers that were given by Mr. John to us erlier. After I played, my friends were all so kind because they said they like my songs! I am so happy!!! Even though the others' songs are also good, but some said that mine is better! Aw aw aw, so happy!

TODAY IS MY 16th BIRTHDAY!!!
Gosh, I am soooo happy! Today is the happiest day in my life! Ever EVER EVER!!!! Even though we didn't celebrate it in the music class, but I realize that my friends really care about me! Aw... I want to cry from happines! In the class, today we were told to make the draft of our song. OOH right. I forgot to tell you that I have made 2 songs. The first one is in Fis Minor, and the second one is in A major & minor. However, my friends think that the second one is catchier! Ah, well, they still think the first one is good though! Yeah, I think if I have time, I would make another new song that is better than the first and second ones! Yah, anyway, ciao!

Aah! Finally, my friend has come back from China!!! So, today we have the singing exam for the song A Wonderful World. My partner is Jayne... Ah, we were so nervous, especially me! Well, but I think I kind of sang well, you know... Ah, maybe the reason is because we practiced first before singing in front of the class! Well, what do you think? I think I could do better next time! I believe I could be more confident when I sang again!

Aw... today my friend, Eun Hye, is absent!!! I miss her so! Today we have to sing La Bamba with our pair... IN FRONT OF THE CLASS! Agh, I really hate it. I would really get low scores in singing! My hands are shaking and so cold. I am so nervous!!!! Fortunately, I didn't sing because the time wasn't enough! Yay, I want to jump up and down! I am so happy! Well, I guess next time I will practice before I sing and I will try my best not to be nervous, even though that is kind of impossible.

Hello again! Yes, today we sang La Bamba together again. After that, we sang in groups. Ah, I really hate singing!!! After all groups: piano, violin, guitar, and woodwind came to the front of the class to sing, we moved on to the next song, which was A Wonderful World. I like this song better because I am very familiar with it. I must say that the lyric is very beautiful that I want to cry when I listen to it. Yeah, well, the problem that I faced... was nothing really. I just need some more boost to rise my confidence to sing in front of people!

Here I am again! We learnt a... Latin song called La Bamba. The song's melody is really nice, but the lyric is kind of hard for me to pronounce because it is in Latin and we have to sing it very fast. At first, Mr. Herry helped us to understand the melody and the rhythm, then we move on to the lyrics. It was hard at first, but now we can do better. Yeah, but that doesn't mean that I have become in like with singing! I also submitted the midi files of Antonio Vivaldi that were told by Mr. Herry. Aah, so awesome! :)

Well, I didn't have homework though, because I have finished it in class. After that, we were told to compose a song of 32 bars for next week. Wiih, very very easy! Not only that, we were also given another homework to find a famous musician that started with our name. Since my name is Adeline Kodji, so I have to find a composer with the name A too, like Antonio Vivaldi. Mr. Herry taught us about how to use Finale... Oh cmon, it's not that hard, is it? Yeah, anyway, after that, in piano class, we were playing around. Just wait and see. I am going to make the best composition!

Hola! I am back. Unbelievably, it is already term 2. This is actually the second day of the term and the first class of music! Today, we started the lesson by reviewing what we are going to learn in term 2. In this term, we are going to write our own song! I am so excited! However, just like in term 1, we should sing both western and Indonesian songs. Yeah, too bad. Well, anyway, today we practiced composing songs with the AABB, ABBA, and AABA format, which was very easy! I finished it in... like 5 minutes, but the song is really really bad. Yeah, I don't really care because I will make sure that for the final song, I would make the most awesome one! So, for now, ciao!
